What is Virtual Reality?

Virtual Reality, or VR, is a new form of video entertainment. Up till now, we’ve always looked at games and movies on a flat screen. Virtual reality allows the player to actually enter the world and be fully immersed in it. You are no longer watching a game, you are inside it. The only way to truly understand VR is to experience it at Escape Virtuality! DON’T PLAY THE GAME, BE THE GAME!

What is the difference between an Escape Room and a Virtual Reality Escape Game?

Escape Virtuality offers both experiences. The difference is that VR escape games such as our Goblin’s Quest: The Uprising, require the participants to put on the HTC Vive Headset and the MSI VR One to delve into the virtual world. Whereas our Immersive escape rooms (the Runaway Subway Train, Ghost Collector and Mission: Galaxy Quest) don’t require any such equipment and are played in a real environment.

How do I get out of an Escape room?

The objective of an Escape room game is to get out before the clock runs out, but finding an escape isn’t always easy. Many groups get close but come up a little short of escaping. You can escape the room one of two ways:

  • Solve the Clues – Use your wits, critical thinking and communication skills to work with the other players and solve the clues.
  • Ask to Leave – You can ask to leave at any time. Also, Escape Virtuality meets the stringent NYC and FDNY Codes including flame proofing.
