What is VR?
Escape Virtuality houses the largest variety of immersive experiences in New York City, from escape rooms to fully virtual experiences in VR and AR.
What is the difference between each of these? Let’s break it down.
Virtual reality (VR) is a completely immersive experience that allows you to navigate a simulated environment.
In VR, you are entirely immersed in a simulated environment and interact with the environment as such. This is what you would experience with our headsets right here at Escape Virtuality! Some of our VR experiences include the Plank Walk, the Raft Alien Shooters, and Goblin’s Quest.
Augmented reality (AR) adds digital elements to existing surroundings. Rather than being fully immersed in a virtual environment like VR, AR takes the original, physical environment into account. AR usually adds digital elements to physical environments with cameras, like with our special Augmented Reality Climbing Wall, the only AR Rock Climbing Wall in New York.
Escape Virtuality has more than 30 VR and AR experiences. Come on out to give them a try!
